Only 455 k to go. Will cross the halfway point in distance sometime today.
A gallon of gas is about $5.50.
Welcome encouragement on a tree beside the road.
A brief bit of shade along the way.
More to go.
More to go.
And yet more to go.
Relaxing at the end of the day’s walk. An albergue at Terradillos de Templarios.
Russ – Congrats on halfway! Your daily blogs are great!
Thanks, Chris. I’m learning much here, including the folly of going to stein to stein with Aussies and Germans. But we press on . . .
I bicycled the Mississippi from Venice, LA to the headwater back in ’96, and I know well the feeling of the endless miles of “road” on the horizon. We often think journeys like these are 24-7 adventure, yet most of the day is spent looking at the road.
Robert, that’s an impressive trip!
