After a light lunch and some sleep, I went out to explore Belorado for an hour. I’m glad I did.

Just down from my albergue, I found the first church for the village. At the top of the cliff behind it are the ruins of the original castle. To,the left of the church, you might mKe out windows in the cliff side, evidencing use of old tunnels and defensive position for contemporary homes.

Looking out from the ruins of the castle, I spotted the marble quarry. It is the primary economic foundation of the area.

I noticed a number of local men heading out of the Camino part of town down a small street. I followed and found myself in the plaza mayor where I also discovered . . .

A car show! A dozen or so classic Mustangs. I'm assuming this part of the May Day/Labor Day fiesta. What I know for certain is that *this* is why I like to go exploring.
